PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE ON THE OCCASION OF THE PLANNING SESSION
OF THE MARKEING AND SALES GROUP

It is with deep regret that I could not make it to your planning session despite my commitment to Robbie because today is my only chance to visit the cemetery to pay homage to my wife Cynthia whose death anniversary falls on February 8 but I have to leave for abroad tomorrow.
I would like to congratulate the leadership led by the COO, assisted by MANCOM for coming up with a Manual of Procedure which underwent several midyear and yearend reports. The same of course is subject to fine-tuning based on your valid suggestions.
Though I had misgivings in the past whether or not it could be made, I must congratulate once more Robbie for finally coming up with a study which identifies the overall market potential of the tertiary and post tertiary levels and the need to saturate the same.
In tandem with the saturation drive, I would like to remind once more on the cleanliness drive which has been verbalized under our mission/vision statement together with the corresponding memoranda.
I noticed that there has been a marked improvement on the aesthetic and cleanliness aspects of the stores which I visited recently.
Cleanliness connotes orderliness, professionalism, respectability as well as a justification for the money spent.
It is therefore prayed that the study made and the cleanliness drive be given realization through your indispensable support and cooperation.
I would like to conclude by thanking the Divine Providence without whose intercession we would not have attained the humble position where we are now amidst the perceived chaotic political situation (where values appear not to be given due consideration) as well as the threat of technology which hopefully would not replace the print industry.
